The Red Hydrangea Botanical Candle Jar delivers a bold, luxurious floral statement while maintaining the highest standards of candle safety. Specifically designed for botanical candles, this jar features a double-walled glass construction that safely separates decorative botanicals from the flame, removing the fire risks commonly associated with traditional botanical candle designs.

Please Note: During transit the flowers may move to the bottom of the jar. A gentle upside-down shake will easily return them to their original position.

CANDLE CARE & SAFETY

To get the very best from your By Julie candle, please follow these simple care and safety tips.

Before every burn

Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before lighting. This helps your candle burn cleanly and evenly and reduces sooting.

The first burn

Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface where possible. This helps prevent tunnelling and gives you the best performance from your candle.

Burn time

Never burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time. Allow the candle and wax to cool completely before relighting.

Burn safely

Always place your candle on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, curtains and anything flammable.

Never leave a burning candle unattended and always keep it away from children and pets.

Keep it clean

Keep the wax pool free from wick trimmings, matches and other debris.

When to stop burning

Stop using your candle when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Never burn a candle all the way down to the base.

And most importantly…

Relax, enjoy the fragrance and let your home smell fabulous. ❤️

HOW TO USE & CARE FOR YOUR REED DIFFUSER

Getting started

Carefully remove the stopper from the bottle and insert your reeds. The fragrance will gradually travel up the reeds and scent your room.

Control your fragrance

The more reeds you use, the stronger the fragrance. For a softer scent or a smaller room, simply use fewer reeds.

Turning your reeds

You don’t need to turn your reeds frequently. Turn them occasionally when you’d like an extra boost of fragrance. Always take care when handling saturated reeds and wipe up any spills immediately.

Where to place your diffuser

For best results, place your diffuser in an area with gentle air circulation. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators and other heat sources, as heat can cause the fragrance to evaporate more quickly.

Protect your surfaces

Always place your diffuser on a stable, protected surface. Diffuser liquid can damage painted, polished, plastic or fabric surfaces. Keep the bottle and reeds away from walls, curtains and furnishings.

Safety

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and wash immediately if contact occurs.

By Julie tip:

When your diffuser is ready for a refill, I recommend using fresh reeds too. Old reeds can become saturated and may not diffuse your new fragrance as effectively.
